By Libby Hathorn (Hatchette Australia)
Lara Richie is a 14-year-old girl who has lost her mother. She lives on Willy Nilly Farm with her divorced dad, an awful and cruel stepmother, and her four siblings. While the big mean bully, Gowd Gadrey, is determined to get his hands on her mother’s precious coin collection, Lara finds the magical dog, Thunderwith. Will Lara ever find happiness?
Libby Hathorn uses great descriptive language, which makes it really easy to visualise what’s going on and feel like you’re actually there. Thunderwith will continually leave you wondering what’s going to happen next – you wont be able to put it down.
