Edition 4 – 2023 Out Now

From The Editor’s Desk – Edition 4 – 2023

Here at Children’s Charity Network, we are not just about the OzKids Magazine. Established in 1998 the magazine was the main focus.

In 2007, the Young Artists Awards were born, which has become a very popular choice of medium for students.

From 2024, Children’s Charity Network will be showcasing art entries in our OzKids publication. The entries chosen at the time of each publication. They may not be final winners, however, they will be given a chance to be seen here.

We receive an abundance of brilliant entries, but we are unable to provide awards for all entries received. This is a way to show Australia the creative works we receive.

Congratulations to the 2023 Literary and Art Award Winners. We cannot wait to meet you all.

Managing Editor

In Memory of Rob Leonard, Our Founder

It is with great sadness that the Board of Directors, staff, and myself from the Children’s Charity Network must inform you of the passing of our founder, Mr Rob Leonard, following a 14-month battle with Cancer. We pass our condolences to Rob’s friends and family at this terrible time.

Rob was a wonderful, caring man with a passion for service and charity. His vision to influence young Australians through literacy 25 years ago has impacted thousands, who will all be saddened by this news. In honour of Rob, I look forward to growing his vision and continuing to advocate for the value of literacy and arts.

Please take a moment to reflect upon Rob’s impact on you, and remember his uncompromising belief in the power of Art and Writing.

Rob, you will be truly missed but never far away from our thoughts.

May Rob’s memory be a blessing.
