As I got older, I started to become more and more insecure about myself. Looking through my childhood album, the genuine expressions across the photos made me remember how carefree and confident I used to be. In this painting, I was at a wedding with my broken arm and even though it hurt, I was excited to finally get a cast and choose the colour. But, the reason I painted this self portrait was to remind everyone that there is absolutely no reason to hide your true self because that's what makes everyone unique and themselves. So, who are you?
