Description
I have chosen to do a painting based on dolphins but in a typical Aboriginal style, because this it represents my cultural background. At the same time I wanted to shown through my painting that we Aboriginals cares a lot for the natural environment, whether it is land or sea. For me, I chose the ocean which is the habitat of the beautiful and peaceful dolphins. Dolphins are my favourite animals in the ocean, but unfortunately, they are sometimes hunted by human beings for their meat; some end up in dolphinariums. Tens of thousands of dolphins are caught in drive hunts each year. I wanted through my painting to raise awareness of people towards these beautiful creatures around the world to protect them.
